Key Processing Points:

  • Rovings are pulled from a package through a tensioning device and into an infrared or convection oven to heat the COMFIL® min. 25 degree C over the melting temperature of the matrix material.
  • A guide-eye positions the molten COMFIL® rovings onto the rotating mandrel, forming the composite.
  • COMFIL® efficiently reinforces plastic liners composed of the same thermoplastic.
