Texturizing with steam is a unique technology only offered by COMFIL. In this process high tenacity yarns are processed into high- volume texturized yarns using steam technology.
The Steamtex technology is particularly suited for yarns where a high volume is required, while maintaining original tenacity.
Texturized yarns are produced using compressed air through an air jet nozzle. With air texturizing, the yarn forms crimps and loops, which affects the tactile and tensile properties. The volume of the process yarn can be controlled specifically, depending on the overfeed of the yarn filaments.
